Bungalows Du Maquis - Porto-Vecchio (Corsica)

Helpful staff , tranquility , the pool ,lunchtime on the verandha ,the view.

find it a bit difficult to understand why the air con was turned off 11 p.m.

The position is very very difficult to reach by a mountainous track and the location of the bungalows in parts is very very difficult terrain - doesn't conform to risk factors with it's dreadful uneven surfaces and so called steps in places.

Beautiful views of the mountains, swimming pool, clean rooms and parking space. Reasonable price for the height of summer.

This hotel was difficult to get to, you have to be an experienced driver who is used to driving high up in the mountains, on steep, sometimes dangerous roads. Once you have finally got there you are unlikely to want to come back down especially at night as there is no lighting and the road is two way and very narrow. As a result you are obliged to eat at the restaurant at the hotel which is overpriced. You are far from other amenitites and other options. The pool is quite dirty.

Nice location with great views, very friendly staff, great service, reasonable price for level of comfort. Great starting point for exploring the nearby mountains.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, while the rooms (bungalow) was simple, it provided everything we needed. The food was very good, and the pool and other facilities were excellent. It is true that the access is not easy - the road is narrow with a lot of curves that may trouble people not accustomed to Corsican roads, but the drive is well worthwhile. The views are spectacular and the a pleasure of arriving and staying makes any anxiety about the access fade away!

Quite far from Porto Vecchio, but good for people looking for more relaxed place to stay.
